Skin Booster injectables are used for the treatment of fine wrinkles in the face, neck, hands and décolleté. They are made up of a combination of revitalising ingredients such as Hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

Skin Boosters are suitable for any patient (except those who are pregnant or breastfeeding). Patients can receive Skin Booster as a standalone treatment or they can be incorporated into their treatment plan to enhance their results. Over a series of treatments, we aim to restore the skin’s hydration, luminosity and density. Before receiving skin booster treatment, our cosmetic Doctors with provide a thorough consultation to determine if this treatment is right for you. During the treatment the skin booster is injected into the upper dermis (mid-superficial layers of the skin) of specific problem areas of the skin to stimulate fibroblast activity thereby promoting new, healthy collagen and elastin production. This treatment is performed using very fine needles for minimal discomfort. You will notice small red bumps in the injection site, which is a desired endpoint for this treatment and they will subside within 24 hours. Your Doctor will discuss what to expect and how to take care of the area during your consultation.
Skin Booster can sometimes be referred to ask Micro Fillers which can be confused with Dermal Fillers. It’s important to know that Skin booster/Micro Filler does not add volume or structure to the skin, they stimulate fibroblast production which are responsible for the growth of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. Skin Boosters purpose is to hydrate, rejuvenate skin tone and texture to improve the skin’s general appearance. Dermal fillers do provide added hydration to the treated area; however, their purpose is to create volume and structure to the face.

You will likely experience some mild discomfort during the treatment; however, our cosmetic doctors are known for their gentle hand and most patients find the treatment quite tolerable.
We recommend a course of 3 treatments to begin with to see the greatest results. Over time our body breaks down and slightly reduce the results of the skin booster treatment, so we recommend to return for a maintenance appointment every 6-9 months to maintain the results.
