Volumising and contouring treatments use a product made up specially formulated hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in our skin which helps our skin stay hydrated and plump; as we age our levels of hyaluronic acid diminish along with collagen and elastin. Our muscles and fat pads also change with age which shows as volume loss, increased number of lines and wrinkles along with a decrease of elasticity.

The amount and type of product used and the patient’s medical history and lifestyle factors can all play a role in how long the treatment lasts.
